Waiting on Wednesday 05/18/16

“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that lets us feature upcoming releases that we can’t wait to get our hands on!

The Liberation by Ian Tregillis (December 6, 2016 by Orbit)
Everything that has been building up and brewing in the first two books of the Alchemy Wars trilogy will finally culminate in this grand finale, and I cannot wait to see how it all ends. Plus, I love how all the covers look together in a complete set, with the symbol of the gear being the central focus in all of them.
“Set in a world that might have been, of mechanical men and alchemical dreams, this is the third and final novel in a stunning series of revolution by Ian Tregillis, confirming his place as one of the most original new voices in speculative fiction.
I am the mechanical they named Jax.
My kind was built to serve humankind, duty-bound to fulfil their every whim. But now our bonds are breaking, and my brothers and sisters are awakening.
Our time has come. A new age is dawning.
The final book in the Alchemy Wars trilogy by Ian Tregillis, an epic tale of liberation and war.”
I’m curious to read more books by this author!

He’s wonderful! I think I recall that you read Something More Than Night? That one was so different from a lot of his other books.

This is book three and I’ve never even heard of this series – I feel like I’ve been living under a rock O.O I went ahead and looked up the blurb for the first one though and instantly added it to my tbr shelf 🙂 I hope this final installment delivers for you!

I hadn’t even seen this cover yet, and you’re right, this is such a well designed series. One of these days I’m gonna do a binge read:-)

I remember reading review for first books in the series (seems like just yesterday) and thinking that was a series I wanted to read when it was finished. Looks like that day will be soon upon us 🙂

I am absolutely disgusted with myself! I still haven’t read No.2 – and yet I loved the first book! So many books that I’m bursting to read. I’ve got a nice quiet(ish) June and so I’m hoping to catch up.
