Bookshelf Roundup: 02/19/22: Stacking the Shelves & Recent Reads
Bookshelf Roundup is a feature I do every weekend which fills the role of several blog memes, like Stacking the Shelves where I talk about the new books I’ve added to my library or received for review, as well as It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? where I summarize what I’ve finished reading in the last week and what I’m planning to read soon. Mostly it also serves as a recap post, so sometimes I’ll throw in stuff like reading challenge progress reports, book lists, and other random bookish thoughts or announcements.
Received for Review
My thanks to the publishers and authors for the following review copies received, and be sure to click the links to their Goodreads pages for more details and full descriptions!
Just a small haul and a quick update today, but a couple of very exciting new arrivals. A big thank you to Tor Books for an ARC of Book of Night by Holly Black. This is one of my most anticipated releases this spring, but I probably won’t wait until then to read it!
And from Orbit Books I also received an ARC of The Bladed Faith by David Dalglish. I’ve enjoyed several of his books in the past, so I’m looking forward to starting this opener to a new fantasy series about an exiled prince who steps into the role of an assassin. I’m definitely intrigued.
One audiobook in the digital haul this week, but it’s also a good one. Crowbones by Anne Bishop is the latest novel set in the author’s world of The Others. Feels like I’ve been waiting on this forever! My thanks to Penguin Audio.

Dalglish is a flipping machine! It seems like every time I turn around he’s got a new book out. I wish I liked his stuff, because he’s got a pretty deep back catalog too. Oh well 😦
I hope you enjoy the new series by him too.

Yes, I notice he puts out a lot of books! I always seem to miss out on the first books of his series though, which is why I haven’t read him in a while because I can’t keep up!

OOh nice! I’m finally reading The Book of Night now myself! It’s definitely different, but I still find myself reading it! Lol. Read Crowbones not too long ago and really enjoyed that one too! Hope you enjoy all of your new reads!
My StS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!

I’ve often seen David Dalglish’s name around, he seems very prolific, but I’ve never tried any of his work.

He is, and he’s been writing for a quite a while too I think. That’s why his stuff seems to be everywhere 😀
