Behold, the tenth book in the Mercy Thompson series. Give me. Now.

silence_fallen_layout.indd“Attacked and abducted in her home territory, Mercy finds herself in the clutches of the most powerful vampire in the world, taken as a weapon to use against alpha werewolf Adam and the ruler of the Tri-Cities vampires. In coyote form, Mercy escapes only to find herself without money, without clothing, and alone in the heart of Europe…

Unable to contact Adam and the rest of the pack, Mercy has allies to find and enemies to fight, and she needs to figure out which is which. Ancient powers stir, and Mercy must be her agile best to avoid causing a war between vampires and werewolves, and between werewolves and werewolves. And in the heart of the ancient city of Prague, old ghosts rise…”

  1. Ugh another one? I will never be able to catch up:-) It does seem like she publishes fairly frequently, but it sounds like that’s a good thing:-)

    • She does publish very frequently, considering she also has her other Alpha and Omega series as well. I only follow the Mercy Thompson series though 😀

    • Yeah, I think I remember your review for the last book, mainly because it was mixed just like mine. I thought Fire Touched really put the series back on the right track though, so I feel pretty good about this one!

      • Good! I’m keeping my fingers crossed about this one. It feels like Briggs has had a few rocky books lately. Not just in the Mercy series either. She had an odd obsession with horses in the last Alpha and Omega book that kind of disrupted that book.

        • I have yet to start the Alpha and Omega series…I thought that one shapeshifter series by Briggs was enough, but apparently I am missing quite a lot by skipping it! So it’s on my list now.

          • Yeah, I kind of feel like you need to read both series at the same time otherwise you miss some things. I started out just reading Alpha and Omega, but around book 3 some things happened that I wanted to know more about but I think the plot carried over to the Mercy books.
