Friday Face-Off: The Nose Boop
Welcome to The Friday Face-Off, a weekly meme created by Books by Proxy! Each Friday, we will pit cover against cover while also taking the opportunity to showcase gorgeous artwork and feature some of our favorite book covers. If you want to join the fun, simply choose a book each Friday that fits that week’s predetermined theme, post and compare two or more different covers available for that book, then name your favorite. A list of future weeks’ themes are available at Lynn’s Book Blog.
This week’s theme is:
“Any animal, or human, with a close up shot”
~ THE NOSE BOOP
If It Bleeds by Stephen King
From left to right:
Scriber (2020) – Hodder & Stoughton (2020) – Swedish Edition (2020)
Finnish Edition (2021) – Bulgarian Edition (2020) – Ukrainian Edition (2021)
Hungarian Edition (2021) – Czech Edition (2021) – German Edition (2020)
Winner:
Whew, some of these are really out there! Really tough to choose a favorite this week, but I think the German edition is the most interesting and visually arresting.
But what do you think? Which one is your favorite?
Good choice! I also keep looking at the Swedish edition and the suggestion of the rat’s tail as a callout to one of the stories: it’s quite freakish… 😉

Yeah, and rat tails freak me out!

I like the Scriber and Hungarian editions for the amount of cat, but the German edition does seem to present the most information while still being easy on the eyes!

I agree, I think the German one freaks me out the least too, if I’m too be honest 😛

I love the Ukranian edition, very creepy. My second favorite would be the Bulgarian one, I love the rat looking up at the eyes. 🙂

Great choice – I love the way the rat is perched on top of the title.
