The Blacktongue Thief by Christopher Buehlman (May 25th, 2021 by Tor Books)
Edelweiss for some reason labels this book by a debut author, but Christopher Buehlman has actually some really good horror novels. The Blacktongue Thief will be his first fantasy novel, however, and I’m looking forward to see if I’ll enjoy it just as much as his other stuff.

Interesting! I read and enjoyed a couple of his horror novels, and it’s always intriguing to observe an author moving to a different genre 🙂

I’ve not tried any of his writing yet but I do like the look of this one. I’m always willing to at least give a try to an interesting-sounding fantasy story.

Yeah, it usually says “genre debut” when that happens, but maybe Edelweiss just used the generic “DEBUT AUTHOR!” label because they didn’t have anything else 😀

I really like the sound of this one, Mogsy – it sounds like something a bit different. And as the author is coming from another genre, it could be really intriguing:))
