Most Anticipated Releases of 2023: July to September
July is almost here, so it’s time to look ahead to the Science Fiction and Fantasy reads I’m most excited about in the third quarter of 2023! Not only do I enjoy making these lists, they also help me organize my reading by focusing my attention to the highly anticipated releases that I’d like to check out. While I’m under no illusions that I’ll be able to read them all, hopefully I can get to most of them (and also put some new books on people’s radars).
Do you have any of these books on your list? What’s missing that I should be checking out? What are your most anticipated releases for the next few months?

There’s a lot to look forward to here. There are many I’d like to try, some from what have become regular authors for me, and several from authors I’ve yet to try.

Glad you are looking forward to them. I know you and I only rarely intersect in our books, but usually I can find 1 or 2 when you create lists like this. Not this time though.

Not one in this humongous list!? Haha, well maybe when I actually get to review some of these, that would hopefully change 🤣

Honestly, I should just give up on thinking I’ll ever make progress on the backlog – far too many great books coming out every month! 🙂

There are so many books listed here that im desperate to read too. Even if I pick just the super highly anticipated ones (AKA ones I’ll let get in the way of catch up) there are at least 3 in July alone. I’ve finally read ADSOM & can’t wait for Threads Of Power now either 😍😍

Did you know that VE Schwab did/is doing a virtual readalong of the first three books? It’s on her YouTube channel and it’s great for little background snippets and author thoughts – I think there were 4 videos for ADSoM, and she’s continuing with the rest still,

I’ve seen it mentioned on her Instagram and keep meaning to check it out. Thanks for recommending it. I’ll have to make sure I catch up with them sometime, I’d particularly love to hear her thoughts on the finale as it ended up being my favourite.

I haven’t heard about any of these books, so it’s neat to see them. Also, I enjoyed the cover designs — the ones of The Librarianist, Dreambound, and Starter Villain are quite eye-catching!

I couldn’t help myself with The Librarianist cover either, as a book lover I just knew I had to read that one as soon as I saw it!

There’s so much to look forward to! I’m not sure if this will be an amazing summer for reading or a stressful one because of all the highly anticipated releases. So… if you had to pick one…?
