Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Covers that Give Off Summer Vibes
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish, a weekly meme that now resides at That Artsy Reader Girl. The meme first came about because of a love of lists. Who doesn’t love lists? The original creators also wanted their lists to be shared with fellow book lovers and to ask that we in turn share ours with them and connect with other book bloggers. This week’s topic: Top Ten Covers that Give Off Summer Vibes
Today’s topic is “Top Ten Books that Give Off Summer Vibes,” but really, I think any book can be turned into a feel-good summer read as long as you’re enjoying yourself! So I decided to tweak the topic a little bit and focus on my favorite book covers on my shelves that feel like summer. Can you feel the sun on your skin, and see yourself at the beach or by the poolside yet?
Yup total summer vibes Mogsy! Where is my beach towel?

Children of Earth and Sky, I’ve wanted to try something by Guy Gavriel Kay for so long. Somewhere I’d read a description or review of one of his books and thought it was right up my alley. So everytime I see another one I buy it. Now I might have a dozen sitting on my shelves but I’ve yet to read any of them. So this is a reminder to me to hurry up and pick one! Thanks much for the reminder.

GGK is brilliant! CoEaS was good, but my favorite of his is The Lions of Al Rassan which is an older but it’s amazing 😀

Thanks for the recommendation. I do have a copy of The Lions of Al Rassan, so I’ve pulled it from the shelf and moved it into my stack of “hopefully to be read soon!”. 🙂

I love your take on this and your selection of covers. Second Star in fact could be made designed just with this theme im mind.
Currently reading the Pinborough book. About 20% in so far. The tension is building.

You nailed these ones. I always associate summer with sharks. Can’t believe I forgot to post a shark book. That also reminds me that I need to plan a rewatch of Jaws!
