Waiting on Wednesday 02/05/20

“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme that first originated at Breaking the Spine but has since linked up with “Can’t Wait Wednesday” at Wishful Endings now that the original creator is unable to host it anymore. Either way, this fun feature is a chance to showcase the upcoming releases that we can’t wait to get our hands on!

Finally, it’s the next Dresden Files book, nuff said!

“Harry Dresden is back and ready for action, in the new entry in the #1 New York Times bestselling Dresden Files series.

When the Supernatural nations of the world meet up to negotiate an end to ongoing hostilities, Harry Dresden, Chicago’s only professional wizard, joins the White Council’s security team to make sure the talks stay civil. But can he succeed, when dark political manipulations threaten the very existence of Chicago–and all he holds dear?

Peace Talks is the sixteenth novel in the Dresden Files series and follows Harry’s adventures after the events of Skin Game.”

  1. I’m totally screwed. I can’t remotely remember what happened in Skin Game and only sorta remember the stuff before it but I’m waaaay too busy to reread any of them, and am still super excited for this! But also totally screwed.

  3. I have yet to read a Harry Dresden novel, and yet I keep reading such good things about them, and about Jim Butcher’s work, in general. I’d really like to try them one of these days.

  4. Oh my, I can’t recall where I’m up to with this series – probably about 8 or 9. I need to put some effort into catching up with this, Toby Daye and the Iron Druid series.
