Full disclosure: I’ve never seen the original Star Trek series BUT it’s on my watch list. I don’t know why I never got into it growing up, I’ve always loved sci fi, which is what’s prompting me to finally fix that gap in my sci-fi knowledge. I never even knew about this series but I LOVE the sound of it. If it’s as funny as it sounds I’m in! Hope you love this one as much as the first one Mogsy^^

I remember when you reviewed the first book, and thinking I need to check out this series. And I’m still interested! I’m more of a STtNG fan, but I do love the utter cheesiness of the original. Sounds like fun!

Unpopular opinion time! I’m actually not a big fan of TNG! I mean, it’s not bad, but I personally like Voyager more, and even Enterprise (which probably makes me even more the odd one out, lol!)

I do like Star Trek. Such a funny title, too!
Of course, I think I have a book or two by Erickson. I’ll have to see what they are–and perhaps read one of them and look for the first book in this series.

Yeah, apparently he’s continuing the Willfull Child series. I’m not complaining though, the first one was hilarious! I enjoy his satirical humor more than his dark fantasy 🙂

Having fun with well-established icons, as the author must do in these books, usually translates into fun for the readers. I need to start on this series, and keep it on hand for moments when I need some lightness in my life…

Agree with Maddalena’s comment. Sounds like the author is enjoying this series so it usually makes for good reading. A haven’t read any Star Trek or Star Wars which always makes me feel sort of guilty – I keep saying one day though! Never say never.

I would not have guessed Erikson would also write Star Trek books. And spoof ones at that. 🙂 (I am obviously far from an expert, or I would already know this) Learn something new everyday

I hear Erikson is a big Star Trek fan! I wouldn’t have expected him to write something like this either, but he clearly he was inspired by his life long love for the series.

I am in the middle of the Malazan Book of the Fallen books and I am slowly making my way through the orginal Star Trek and I am enjoying them both so I am really intrigued by this series! 😀
