Mogsy’s Pick:

Fire Touched by Patricia Briggs: March 8, 2016 (Ace)

It’s a new Mercy Thompson novel, what more do I need to say?!?! That is, other than why isn’t it March 2016 already?

Fire Touched“Mercy Thompson has been hailed as “a heroine who continues to grow and yet always remains true to herself.”* Now she’s back, and she’ll soon discover that when the fae stalk the human world, it’s the children who suffer…

Tensions between the fae and humans are coming to a head. And when coyote shapeshifter Mercy and her Alpha werewolf mate, Adam, are called upon to stop a rampaging troll, they find themselves with something that could be used to make the fae back down and forestall out-and-out war: a human child stolen long ago by the fae.

Defying the most powerful werewolf in the country, the humans, and the fae, Mercy, Adam, and their pack choose to protect the boy no matter what the cost. But who will protect them from a boy who is fire touched?”

  1. YES. I am really excited about this one since war with Fae was hinted in last couple of books in both series. I love Patty’s Fae. 😀
On other hand, Dan Dos Santos does a great job with these covers…

    • YES! The covers are so amazing. I remember seeing a step-by-step process feature article on the last cover somewhere, it was so cool watching how the artist puts it all together.

  2. I’ve seen this series on the internet like 3 times today, the universe is obviously telling me to get back into it. I am still not sure why I did not continue reading after book 1 because I loved it! Judging by your enthusiasm, I guess the books remain just as great even many books later ;)?

    • Yeah I’m not surprised this would be a popular one this week. I only saw that it had a cover earlier this week, so it must have been revealed very recently!

Oh, and yes, the books get better. I actually thought the first few books were good, but not great. The last couple of books though, wow.
