Wendy’s Fall Reading List
I’m just finishing up the last book on my Summer Reading List, but since the outdoors currently look like this:
It’s about time I get started on my Fall Reading List. I’m still working on that to-read pile beside my bed, with a focus on my various Worlds Without End Roll-Your-Own Reading Challenges. But with life getting busier and busier with all my commitments, I’m going to keep this list short and sweet and manageable.
Emperor of Thorns continues my obsession with Mark Lawrence’s Jorg of Ancrath, while Parable of the Sower continues my obsession with the works of the incredible Octavia E. Butler. I really enjoyed book one of Fred Warrington’s Aetherial Tales, so it’s time for me to read the sequel for my challenge. My Soul to Keep fulfills several challenges.
My Goodreads challenge says I’m about eight books behind on my 150 book goal, but that’s okay. I think I’ve done pretty well this year, considering all of my other commitments. And the year’s not over yet!
Do you plan your reading ahead of time? I just kind of go with the flow.

This is basically the planning now, based on my challenges. I intend to get through these specific books this season, but others will definitely sneak in there.

I debated whether or not I should make my own fall reading list. I only managed 7 out of 19 books I had on my summer TBR, lol. 😛 Otherwise, all review catch-up.

I should update the list with Galaxy Game and the two Dragon Age books so that I don’t forget about them. I am so behind on my reading. 😦

So, ah, I ended up doing a list. 😛 I don’t usually include review books on my season lists because I know those will be read no matter what, so I actually did include the DA books on this one. I really need to catch up on some of my gaming novels…

I suck at reading lists. I am too much of a mood reader. I still finish books and just stare at my shelves for twenty minutes to try to figure out what is next.

LOL I make the lists specifically to force myself not to do that.

Im exactly the same as Nathan. My wife says, “You have been staring at that shelf for twenty minutes. Its not going anywhere.”

Parable of the Sower!!! It’s one of my top books that I’ve read this year, for sure. Octavia E. Butler’s writing destroys me emotionally, but it’s totally worth it. I think you’ll really enjoy it, Wendy!
